Job Description:

The Sr. Manager for Small to Medium range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) reports to the Director of SMGBAD within the Land Warfare & Air Defense Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) team in Raytheon Missiles & Defense. (RMD) This individual is responsible for maximizing SHORAD opportunities for Raytheon Technologies in the $48B SMGBAD market. They will facilitate global growth by developing trusted relationships with our customers, identifying customer capability gaps, shaping requirements, tailoring solutions to accelerate delivery at speed of relevance. This individual will be required to work collaboratively across multiple internal and external organizations to provide the best capability to our customer. They will interface with Program Area Directors (PADs) and other senior leaders on SMGBAD solutions on a regular basis working across all Mission Areas, Functions and Raytheon Technologies Business Areas. This leader will represent Raytheon Missiles & Defense as the face to customer in one of our most significant growth areas for the Company.

Specific job duties include:

  • Serves as the SMGBAD R&C SHORAD lead providing support and reach back capability to R&C teams, the PADS, and other stakeholders in pursuit of both domestic & international customers representing $5.4B potential in the 5YP.

  • Leads strategy development and execution for SMGBAD collaboration in support of SHORAD customer pursuits. Capture support activities for 14 potential international partners and growing (supports customer interface, gate package development, gate reviews and strategy sessions, and proposal development process)

  • Leads engagements across multiple stakeholders to shape opportunities and coordinate efforts within Raytheon Missiles & Defense, Raytheon Intelligence and Space, Collins, Pratt Whitney, our industry teaming partners, the US Government, and our current and future customers.

Communicates strategies to key internal stakeholders and coordinates with all external stakeholders to support the SHORAD portfolio.

This position requires a current Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications you must have:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

  • A current Secret US Security Clearance.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or related field

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience

  • 5+ years working in business development/capture experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Secret Clearance

  • Ability to travel to client sites in Ft Sill OK, Huntsville, AL & Washington, DC

  • Familiarity with the RTX SHORAD (Short Range Air Defense) capabilities.

  • Experience working with both Domestic and Int’l military customers.
