Software Architecture Engineer
Colorado Springs, CO Or Huntsville, AL
The successful candidate will conduct analysis, make architectural decisions and update the C2BMC system architecture in compliance with requirements.
Review cyber, software, and network designs for compliance and alignment with architecture.
Generate engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews.
Develop program system architecture capability and capacity through mentorship of more junior staff.
Candidate needs to have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice.
Work will be performed under the direction of various technical leads and product owners and require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.
Responsibilities include adhering to program review processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis.
Candidate should possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical architecture baselines necessary to describe the BMDS Battle Management, Command & Control, and Communications (C2BMC) system.
Candidate should have demonstrated experience in mission analysis with skill in architecture development and SysML modeling in support of MBSE.
Experience with Agile Methods, and Epic and Feature definition is a significant plus.
Architecture development and coordination
Defining the relationships between internal and external components;
Ability to communicate architectural intent and constraints to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users.
Skills generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities.
Skills in logical/physical architecture modeling, and knowledge of CI/CD pipeline architecture, RAM, Mission Assurance, Safety, and cyber security concepts are highly desirable.
Active Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 10 years of professional experience OR 8 years of relevant experience with a related Master’s degree.
Occasional travel will be required for this position

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $106,500 to $223,500; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
