Job Summary:

The Strategic Planning & Development Lead will provide influential leadership and insight to the overall strategic direction of the RMD business, actively interfacing with RTX Corporate Strategy & Development Leadership, with RMD President, Mission Area VPs, and other RMD Functional leaders to optimize the RMD portfolio's ability to deliver near-term financial objectives (affecting top-line & bottom line growth) while positioning the RMD portfolio for long-term growth.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Serve as RMD Strategy & Transformation Lead on the annual cross-enterprise Long-Range Plan Strategy & RMD Portfolio Assessment, working across the Business & Mission Areas to develop and integrate RMD Mission Area Strategies, RMD Portfolio Assessment, and Financial & Investment Plans into the final LRP delivered to the Raytheon Technologies (RTX) CEO & LT

  • Leads the RMD Portfolio Review and Assessment, creating its framework & methodology, used to assess the RMD portfolio for key areas for inorganic/organic growth, key gaps and opportunities, and leads the integration of the portfolio assessment into the RMD investment allocation & prioritization process

  • Support the identification, assessment, analysis, and execution of Mergers, Acquisition, & Divestitures for RMD (conducting strategic-competitive assessments, assist in developing M&A strategies and conducting due diligence)

  • Support the identification, assessment, analysis, and execution of Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) opportunities for RMD, and maintaining a disciplined investment profile on current CVC targets and partners

  • Support the development and integration of the Mission Segment strategies for the RMD portfolio used to inform strategic planning for the RMD business

  • Direct insight and influence in shaping the near-term operational strategies in support of RMD (Mission Area) strategic planning to meet near-, mid- and long-term financial goals

  • Lever innovation to conceptualize the future of the RMD portfolio, while employing new techniques and methods to assess the RMD portfolio Ability to develop new techniques and systems of analysis to drive transformational RMD business decisions at the strategic level

  • This position can be located at or near any RMD facility

  • An Active Top Secret US security clearance and ability to maintain will be needed to perform responsibilities for this role.

    Qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of 10 years of business experience in strategy development

  • Experience with the assessment and/or execution of investment opportunities such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Divestitures, and/or Corporate Venture Capital opportunities

  • An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
