Desired Skills:
At least 8+ years of hands on experience in Business and Regional Heads down Displays or similar technologies
DO-178 B/C, DO-254, DO-331 compliance
Model based design & verification
Working knowledge of conventional code development (C, C++, Python, etc.)
Software verification & validation
Working experience in SDLC phases and knowledge of SDLC models
Understanding of Agile manifesto
Experience in writing the subsystem level requirements
Working Knowledge of following tools/processes
DOORs, JAMA or similar requirements management tools
JIRA or similar change management tools
Jenkins or similar continuous development and integration tools
Peer review tool
Subversion or similar configuration management tools
Test automation
Continuous build and delivery pipelines
Good avionics systems knowledge & IMA architecture
Hands on experience in handling multiple teams and projects
Ability to work and meet stringent project deadlines
Experience in working with global teams
Ability to work with stakeholders to pull challenging work assignments
Drive strategies to execute towards the vision of the team
Job Responsibilities:
May be considered a specialist in a specific software area or generalist in multiple software areas and recognized in their organization
Technically responsible and contributes to at least one activity in a program/project
Self-directed and provides guidance to team members
Significant domain knowledge of products and systems in assigned area
Plan, analyze, design, test and document software of high complexity and contribute to system integration, Understand, utilize, and improve internal processes and tools for the development of software
Act as a mentor to more junior engineers in additional areas including project planning and execution
Generate engineering estimates on complex software designs
Estimate, track, and report project costs and schedule
Lead cross-functional/domain teams in a Project Engineering role
Ensures compliance to development processes and standard work requirements
Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Interfaces with CR / SMEs for work coordination & validate approach / design, Drive individual contributing technical talent and is responsible for a team of engineers
Responsible for tactical execution of day to day operations
Assigns technical resources to work assignments (workforce allocation)
Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling responsibilities for groups of engineers
Should spend 60-70% of week performing technical tasks
Ability to take well informed and prudent risks to enhance project & team performance
Responsible for conducting PRDP and regular one on one with team.
Responsible for on-boarding and assimilation of new hires
