Raytheon Technologies Sr Electrical Engineer II in Indianapolis, Indiana
Raytheon Intelligence & Space seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to support across multiple programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing cables and harnesses for military applications, with a focus on pods and avionics. The candidate will be capable of using Creo Schematic and Creo Parametric, to create models, electrical diagrams, detail and assembly drawings in accordance with ASME Y14 Standards and related documentation in conformance to appropriate program and/or military specifications. The successful candidate will have experience in the design of interconnect products to AS5088-1, and familiarity with IPC WHMA-620 manufacturing processes.
Additional tasking will include the identification & execution of the program requirements, preparation/participation for technical meetings for internal and external representatives, effective communication between teams and team members, and the ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks in an organized manner with attention to detail and thoroughness. Travel, though limited, in support of program objectives is an essential part of this position.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date
Experience with Creo Schematic, Creo Cabling and Creo Parametric
Experience using Windchill and Common PDM
Aviation Design Experience With a Focus on Pod Design
Experience using SAE AS50881
Secret clearance or ability to obtain
Knowledge in IPC WHMA-620 manufacturing methods/processes for cable/harnesses
Technical knowledge using documentation specifications such as MIL- STD-31000, ASME Y14.5M, ASME Y14.24 and ASME Y14.100.
6+ years Interconnect design experience
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Experience with industrial or military electronics and equipment
Hands on experience troubleshooting and fabricating cables and prototypes.
Good oral and written communications
Knowledge of instrumentation and calibration
Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 6+ years of related work experience.
