The Systems Safety Engineer will join our Specialty Engineering team who provide expertise in the areas of Human Factors Engineering, System Safety, and Reliability Engineering; specifically addressing performance, safety, usability, reliability, maintainability, availability, supportability, testability, and cost consideration throughout the life-cycle of multiple product lines.
The Systems Safety Engineer will support preliminary and detailed systems design phases for multiple businesses: Cyber and Special Missions (CSM), C2, Space and Intelligence (CSI), Navigation and Modernization Solutions (NMS) and Global Training Solutions (GTS).
Deliverables include program plans, technical reports, schedules, basis of estimates for new pursuits, and related analyses.
There may be a possibility to work remote or semi-remote – contract dependent.

Minimum 6 years related systems engineering experience to include experience in Systems Safety Engineering general practices as derived from MIL-STD-882:
Management (Task Series 100)
Analysis (Task Series 200)
Evaluation (Task Series 300)
Verification (Task Series 400)
Requires practical understanding and application of MIL-STD-1472 and MIL-STD-1474.
Ability to produce DoD Safety documentation and related Reports, such as: Safety Engineering Analysis, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality, Safety Assessments, Engineering Change Proposals, Hazard and Progress Assessments; Systems Safety Studies and Program Plans.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with active (or active within past 2 years) DoD Secret clearance. Top Secret is preferred.
Expertise working with Satellite and/or unmanned ground stations, A/C avionics modernization, intelligence communities, FAA, other governmental agencies

Human Systems Integration
TS/SCI clearance preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
