We are seeking a co-op to join our team! Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the deployment of ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) throughout the Engineering organization in the pursuit of Gold Certification. Areas of focus include: Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Process Management, Skills Development, Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S), Quality Clinic/RRCA, 5S, Benchmarking, Customer Feedback Analysis, Product Optimization, and Standard Work.

  • Assist in the implementation of Collins/RTX initiatives in Engineering; including, but not limited to, Endorsed Practices, Standard Work development, and the application and use of Lean Product Development principles and tools.

  • Assist with Engineering Tools development, implementation, and improved utilization for applications such as Unigraphics NX (CAD), Teamcenter Unified Architecture (PDM System), DOORS (Requirements Management), etc.

  • Assist with Raytheon, Customer, and Regulatory Agency compliance and auditing. Enhancement of the Quality Management System per AS9100 requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong personal commitment toward Lean Product Development Initiatives and Continuous Improvement

  • Self-starter with strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability in software applications including MS Office
