Collins Aerospace is looking for an Engineering Technology Development Co-op who will support small projects and perform engineering activities and general engineering analysis. You will be teamed up with Engineers in the Cargo Technology Development group with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Systems Engineering disciplines. You will apply your specific engineering discipline of focus to advance the Technology Readiness Levels deliverables and maturity on the active projects. The deliverables will/may include equipment trade study development, system modeling, design of components and equipment, validation test plans & procedures, requirements validation, and system test validation and reporting.
Work with a cross functional team of engineers to mature technologies for aircraft cargo handling systems
Apply engineering skillsets to develop trade studies, system models, component and equipment design, and validation testing and reporting
Assist with engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure that the team’s overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.
Collect data, perform analysis and reviews for conformance analysis.
Conduct engineering processes using standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
Classify findings and identify cross-functional internal resources for guidance and direction on findings and complex problems.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.• Must be a U.S. Citizen
At least sophomore standing in College of Engineering
Working knowledge of Mathworks/MATLAB preferred
CAD experience preferred
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering major preferred
Self-starter with strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
