Raytheon Technologies Cable Technician in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

The Cable Technician participates in the improvement, test and repair of cables for all The Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces RSADF systems. Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer. Wok location Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participates in on-the-job training (OJT) programs, opening and closing of work orders, and assists the section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Participates in preventive maintenance measures at all maintenance levels.

  • Prepare or create special test procedures and methods as required for the repair of special electric and light cables.

  • Implement approved engineering changes.

  • Test and repair Fiber Optic Cables and chassis

  • Comprehensive knowledge in tech drawings reading skills to identify dimensions, specs for parts requiring repair.

  • Soldering and cable fabrication

  • Utilization of cable inspection & measuring devices

  • Assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems, chassis and cables.

  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and/or grinders and may coat surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective materials as required

  • Provides assistance during the inventory, inspection, the organizational level repair and check out of MEIs

    Basic Qualifications:

  • High school, secondary school or equivalent

  • Must be proficient or have advanced knowledge and experience with English language.

  • Requires basic job knowledge with tech drawings reading skills to identify dimensions, specs for parts requiring repair

  • Ability in soldering and repair of fiber optics

  • Experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, test and checkout

  • Experience with soldering, splicing, and wire wrap.

  • Experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings and electric and electronic circuit schematics.

  • General knowledge in maintenance workshop procedures.

    This position can be a G01 or a G02 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibilities required for the position.

    This position requires a Saudi person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
