Raytheon Technologies Material Management Specialist (MMS) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

The Material Management Specialist (MMS) is responsible for the inventory and resolving any deficiencies reported during the inventory of all Major End Item’s (MEIs) prior to and during System Integration and Check-Out (SICO). The Specialist is responsible for receiving, unpacking, inspecting all supplies and equipment required for SICO, and inducting materials into SAP software Integrated Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (iMRO) inventory. MMS i dentifies logistics strategies in capture phase, and will ensure execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as replenishment systems, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, warehouse operations, and related functions. This individual will build relationships and communicate with internal and external customers through logistics initiatives, and is responsible for making improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area.

The MMS will also be required to issuing, requisition and disposition all replacement parts and tools and test equipment during SICO, as well as warehouse operations that will enable the receipt, stock, storage and issue of repair parts, consumables, Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) and Battery Replaceable Unit (BRU) spares. The individual will create and well as reduce supply requirements based on inventory adjustments, as well receiving and reviewing requirements for non-standard parts. The individual is responsible for the receipt, delivery, inspection and/or test of incoming material, central stores/warehousing of program and/or contractor acquired material and packaging and shipping services for OCONUS sites. He or she will ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics organization so that proper receipt is recorded. The MMS must work with the Quality engineer in the Handoff of Material to customer, and will aid in the receipt of Spares under the FCS and DMR program occurring during the SICO time frame. The individual will report all activities to the SICO Lead. The KSA Government requires all individuals residing in, and entering its borders to be completely COVID-19 vaccinated. This position is for a short term international assignment in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Required Skills:

  • Must be license and proficient in material handling equipment, which includes forklifts

  • Must be able to manage multiple disciplines within the supply chain process

  • Able to manage performance of purchase orders or subcontracts, comply with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures, import/export regulations, and employs sound business practice as well as assesses supplier performance as part of follow up activities

  • Experience with SAP PRISM – Integrated Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (iMRO) management system management system of all activities

  • Computer skills Computer skills in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products

  • Aid in the receipt of Spares under the FCS and DMR program occurring during the SICO time frame

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Must be able to obtain a Saudi Arabia visa

  • Must have an active Secret clearance

  • Minimum of two (4) years’ experience with duties involving request, receipt, storage, inventory, issue, and accountability

    Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support Programs

  • The ability to adapt and perform additional tasks with little or no supervision, as a SICO team member.

  • Familiar with Raytheon Technologies’ supply chain/maintenance procedures and terminology

  • Familiar with management, transaction and asset accountability, repair cycle tracking, repair and return activities and the replenishment of supplies and detailed reporting

  • Enhanced knowledge and experience with military logistics and supply chain systems

  • A commercial driver’s license (CDL) to operate large vehicles and forklifts

  • A technical electronics background and Patriot Systems experience

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

  • Experience living and working in an overseas location

  • Middle East customer interface experience

  • A graduate of the Unit Supply Specialist (MOS 92Y) course or a graduate of a technical school or similar course of instruction or comparable experience

  • APICS Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification or equivalent experience

    Required Education (including Major):

  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area. Typically requires a related University Degree or 5 yrs equivalent experience.

  • Due to country and/or customer requirements, as a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate will be required to get a COVID-19 vaccination and provide proof prior to start date.
