Raytheon Technologies Kuwait Enhanced Deep Maintenance Lead in Kuwait City, Kuwait
The Kuwait modernization (KMOD ) Upgrade Lead will assume overall responsibility for the efficient operation of the upgrade and modification efforts, and the enhanced deep maintenance operations of five (5) Patriot Launchers assigned to the Kuwait Defense Forces in Kuwait City, Kuwait and surrounding areas. The Lead supervises, establishes and coordinates the modification efforts for the program, as well as coordinating and managing schedules. The Lead will ensure proper maintenance procedures are met and that all upgrading procedures are in compliance with both Raytheon Technologies (RTX) policies and procedures, as well as the policies and procedures of the host nation. This individual will also assume responsibilities for quality assurance and control, and the productivity of the work performed, taking oversight and leadership of at least 6 Field Engineers (FE) assigned to perform upgrade efforts such as assembling/disassembling, welding, soldiering, cleaning, corrosion mitigation, painting, repairing wheels and hubs, brake components, and other associated repair and upgrade and modification efforts. The Lead will ensure that all safety standards and precautions are in place, and will ensure that they are adhered to by every individual working in, or visiting the work environment.
The Kuwait Modernization
Update Lead will work with the procurement team to ensure that supplies, materials and components are available when needed. The Lead takes responsibility for quality of work, and develops a rapport with a quality management team. This individual will ensure that product quality meets the expected standards of the customer, and will take appropriate actions to mitigate quality issues to minimize waste or avoidable re-workings during modifications and upgrades. This individual will make appropriate decisions regarding outsourcing equipment and resources when unavailable through normal supply chain operations. The individual will manage all the various aspects of the modification, ensuring production timelines are met, as well as improving efficiency to maintain integrity of associated costs. The Lead reports to program management for command and control.
This position is located in the Republic of Kuwait.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of the Patriot Launching system and radar
Demonstrated ability to perform repair, modifications and upgrades on the Patriot Launching system
Reasonable knowledge of welding and soldering standards and specifications
Demonstrated experience in heavy equipment maintenance, to include repairing brake components and air lines, suspension components and assemblies, and hydraulic component and assemblies
Ability to determine successful repairs and upgrades, and the ability to articulate shortfalls
Demonstrated knowledge in production control, logistics and supply chain operations, and Manufacturing and Depot Operations (MDO)
Ability to manage in an ever changing and uncertain environment, while supervising a team of specialized skilled FEs; employing them within their capabilities
Must be able brief various levels of leadership regarding challenges, issues and shortfalls, as well as updates on the modification efforts
Ability to forecast when tools, equipment and other modification materials are needed in a timely manner
Able to lift 50lbs
Must have a current Secret Clearance
Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering
Knowledge of System Integration and Checkout (SICO) procedures
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
Certification training or work experience in Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies as well as CARC painting
Required Education (to include Major):
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6
years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree or vocational training in mechanical or modification engineering, or 12 years of relevant experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or 14 years of relevant experience
