The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user, as well as implementing systems lifecycle maintenance and modernization plans. We are currently seeking a Proposal Manager to join our dynamic and growing engineering team.
Candidate will be an integral part of CAMS Whole Life Engineering supporting programs across PCS, TCS, and TMP while interfacing with engineering leadership, program management, and customers.
Candidate must be able to lead proposals in all aspects, including preparation, pricing, technical writing, task definition and control, and negotiations. They must be able to dissect contractual requirements, spanning multiple engineering disciplines, and effectively convey them to the proposal team, functional, engineering, and program management. They must also be able to create inputs to an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and present the proposed approach to the execution team when the work is awarded.
The candidate will provide strong team leadership as the role will sometimes require multiple simultaneous efforts across different businesses and locations. They will work with the proposal teams to provide design influence for future program supportability.
Candidate must be able to communicate and work with a multi-disciplined team to ensure all aspects of Reliability Models, Maintainability Demo Test Plans/Procedures, testability, software critical safety functions, and logistics support documentation are understood by the proposal teams and bid accordingly.
The selected candidate can be located in Marlborough, MA, Largo, FL, McKinney, TX, or Ft. Wayne, IN
8 years of related work experience
Interpret contractual requirements, spanning multiple documents, and effectively capture, price, and present Whole Life Engineering scope to functional management, engineering management, and program management
Ability to solve routine, complex problems, with limited supervisory direction
Lead simultaneous projects and teams spanning multiple businesses and work locations
Must be proficient in the use of standard MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong interpersonal & communication skills (verbal & written)
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Ability to read schematics/engineering drawings
Required Education (including Major):
Completion of a B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited four-year university.
