Tactical Communication Systems (TCS), a product line within Communications & Airspace Management Systems (CAMS), is looking for an FP&A Manager. TCS has forecasted 2020 revenue >$500M, with program areas spanning multiple locations. The FP&A Manager will support and cultivate finance team members through various weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements including the following: Short Range Outlook (SRO), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Investment Planning, Monthly Business Reviews, and Monthly Forecast Reviews.
The FP&A Manager will be essential to the monthly forecast, SRO, and overall AOP/LRP development. This position will allow for high visibility to TCS / CAMS Finance Key team members
and Product Line Key team members. The FP&A Manager will serve as the primary point of contact to the CAMS FP&A team, and will have leadership responsibility for 1-2 additional FP&A analysts.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager within TCS, this role will participate in strategic planning and ensure functional alignment on investment budgets and macro level staffing plans.
Excellent communication skills are necessary to coordinate financial data and inputs across multiple sites, including Aberdeen, Largo, Fullerton, Fort Wayne, and Indianapolis. 8+ years of experience in program controls and/or financial analysis working in an engineering development and/or production environment
Understanding and excellent working knowledge of
applicable business and accounting systems, including SAP/APEX/PRISM/BW/Rplan/ACES
- Understanding and excellent working knowledge in the following areas:
Financial and business planning, proposal process, project set-up, program baselining, scheduling, budgeting, EAC process, EVMS tools and techniques
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization, both orally and in written form
Thorough attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
Must be able to work under tight deadlines and demonstrate agility to support multiple projects
Excellent financial analysis & planning skills at the project level (Bookings, Sales, Profit, Cash)
Understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of program cash flow including forecasting, billing types, delivery and collection cycles
Ability to effectively manage and develop direct reports
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Excellent spreadsheet skills are required
Deep sense of commitment to meeting deadlines
Experience with current DOD regulations associated with FAR/DFARS/TINA/CAS
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems
Excellent ability to self-manage / prioritize workload
Ability to influence peers, program area directors, and functional leadership
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field
Desired Education: MBA and/or CPA
