Raytheon Technologies Enterprise Services (ES) has an opening for a Sr. Facilities Engineer within our Enterprise Real Estate Services organization. The Facilities Engineering & Project Management team in the East region provides space and occupancy planning, facilities engineering, and project management services across 8.6 MSF of Raytheon office, manufacturing, lab, and warehouse space located in 22 states. This role will be based in the New England area reporting to the lead of the Boston MA Engineering and Project Delivery Team out of Marlborough, MA.
The Sr. Facilities Engineer - Mechanical will be r esponsible for supporting facilities mechanical design, HVAC, engineering, and construction project management. This position reports to the Facilities Engineering organization and will be responsible for completing engineering projects including mechanical building systems troubleshooting, support of building control systems, office renovations, laboratory fit-ups and manufacturing equipment installations. Requires supporting a project from design, through the bid cycle, construction project management followed by project closeout.
Project estimating, project scheduling, design of heating and cooling systems, calculation of heat loads, and equipment sizing studies
Preparation of diagrams, sketches, construction drawings, cost estimates, bid documents and construction administration
Meeting with internal customers, developing continuous improvement projects, coordination studies and project management
Interface and coordinate projects with internal and external resources such as information technology, safety, security, internal construction trade workers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
The position will require travel within eastern Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire and Rhode Island with occasional opportunities to consult on projects outside of New England and internationally with the potential for travel.
Demonstrated working knowledge of building mechanical systems such as; boilers, refrigeration, cooling skids, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, compressed air systems, nitrogen and liquid nitrogen systems.
Familiarity with building electrical systems and general understanding of building construction and civil works.
Coordinate mechanical designs with other building design disciplines such as architectural, electrical, structural, civil, IT, and security.
Experience with construction project management including customer scoping meetings, budget monitoring, establishing and updating schedules, contractor coordination, commissioning, and close-out.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to interface and present to leadership, internal customers, information technology, security, construction trade workers and subcontractors.
Experience writing clear technical engineering specifications, reports and operating procedures
Working knowledge of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE), Sheet Metal and Air conditioning Contractors National Association (SMCNA) and State Building Codes is required.
Solid computer skills including proficiency with AutoCad, REVIT, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project Scheduler.
This position requires the ability to travel regionally
Experience in Facilities Engineering

Experience with manufacturing facilities
Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and control systems such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric
MS Mechanical Engineering
This role typically requires a BS Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline and a m inimum of Five (5) years of prior relevant experience in building mechanical engineering or related field .
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
