Responsibilities to Anticipate:

The Manager III Systems Engineering will be have a technical role on a program in addition to performing the day-to-day management of a group of multi-disciplinary system engineers. Managers will spend 10–15 % of their time on management responsibilities with the remainder of their time spent on supporting technical commitments for the program they support. The Manager I will be part of the Radar Systems Department Leadership team. Specific management duties include:

  • Communications Flow-Down to the section members and up to the department and directorate leadership levels

  • Workforce planning; developing and managing job requisitions, conducting interviews, making hiring decisions and onboarding employees

  • Preparation of budgets, schedules, etc as required to manage support to programs

  • Conducting performance assessment and appraisal,

  • Participating in salary and promotional planning

  • Conducting career development discussions and developing career growth plans

  • Ensuring employees adhere to company policies and code of conduct

  • Supporting proposal development

  • Monitoring program execution

  • Technical contributions to one or more programs within the charter of the department

    Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology Engineering or Mathematics to include Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Engineering Science, or similar. (An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master’s is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience)

  • Minimum of 10 years of technical experience related to Systems Engineering

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
