Self-Inspection Cybersecurity Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

We are seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) as a Self-Inspection Team Member at our Raytheon Intelligence & Space facility in McKinney, TX. You must be a self-starter capable of multitasking and efficiently managing their time in a dynamic, deadline driven environment without appreciable direction. Additionally, said candidate must possess excellent writing, speaking, analytical, project management, organizational, and customer service skills that will assist them in reviewing and assessing our classified systems against our internal standards and external requirements. We need a team player who enjoys expanding and sharing their knowledge and contributing to our success. You will be a key partner with multiple local and remote site program security teams in evaluating and measuring the success of our compliance and security posture in the Special Programs domain.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversight and execution of a continuous monitoring/improvement program (to include but not limited to self-inspections, security control assessments, training, log management systems, automated inventory utilities, etc.)

  • Performing in an independent reviewer role for classified systems to assess and evaluate the true state of compliance to the JSIG, CNSS, and NIST security controls.

  • Partnering with other security core capabilities in development of assessment plans, reviews, reports, metrics and briefings to security, program and business leaders

  • Reviewing and assisting local ISSOs and ISSMs with their body of evidence to effectively articulate the best practices, processes, and procedures used to protect classified data

  • Conduct reviews and technical inspections to identify and mitigate potential security weaknesses, and ensure that all security features applied to a system are implemented and functional

    Required Skills

  • 8 years of relevant professional experience

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience and execution with any of the following: JAFAN 6/3, DCID 6/3, JSIG, ICD-503 or equivalent Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements to include technical computer/network system auditing

  • Experience with any of the following: self-inspections, security control assessments, training, log management systems, automated inventory utilities, auditing, configuration management and/or patching

  • Experience in professional engagements with internal and external customers (i.e. AOs, DAOs, SCAs, Program Managers, etc.)

  • Knowledge in Windows and Linux Operating Systems

  • Experience with various Endpoint security, vulnerability, and enumeration tools (e.g. Tenable Nessus, Splunk Enterprise, Newt, Ivanti Device Control, Purifile, USB detect, Loki, Slither)

  • Experience with various types of periods processing and Special Test Equipment (STE)

  • Currently have a DoD 8570.01-M IAM level III certified credentials (CISSP, CISM, etc.)

  • Travel as needed to other business locations to provide necessary cyber security support.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse people; effective oral and written communication skills.


    This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a Current Top Secret S ecurity Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.

Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with degree preferred in Computer Science or Information technology systems security or related field. In lieu of completed degree additional experience may be considered. Completed Associates Degree + 12 years relevant professional experience. High School Diploma + 16 years of relevant professional experience
