Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) would like to invite you to review the details of our Executive Assistant role This position can be located in Dulles, VA or Dallas/McKinney, TX.

The effective person will report to the Business Assurance Director and also support the Audits and Governance Lead of the Mission Assurance Leadership team. This role will serve as the primary point of contact with internal and external stakeholders and customers, suppliers, and other Raytheon Technologies representatives. The successful person should possess initiative, the ability to exercise autonomous judgment in a high-energy and dynamic environment while anticipating problem areas and providing solutions.

They should be a self-starter, with high attention to detail, successfully demonstrating the ability to implement tasks with limited supervision.

Task expectations include the ability to redirect incoming calls, emails, projects or requests as appropriate, work at a high level of capability with Microsoft office applications, composing correspondence, preparing presentations, coordinating and managing travel arrangements, calendar and schedule management, as well as operate effectively in a team-based environment.

The effective candidate must have the ability to handle information of a sensitive and confidential nature. The candidate will exercise professionalism, tact and diplomacy in communications with visitors, media, the staff and RI&S Employees.

Technical Requirements

High level of proficiency with Microsoft office (to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote) as well as ability to set up internal virtual meetings through Skype and/or Zoom.

E-mail/Written communication:

Read and prioritize communications, and delegate to Direct Reports as appropriate, check deadlines on incoming requests, process replies demonstrating initiative, compose correspondence/reports for the Director’s signature, set-up and maintain files associated with the operation of the office. Also includes preparation of presentations as requested.


Maintain calendar; ascertain which events require the Director’s presence, ensure the Director has decision making/desk time, prepare agenda, and arrange meeting facilities and any related requirements.

Travel: Arrange travel through company agents, prepare itinerary, maintain trip files, and prepare/ process expense reports in a timely manner. Knowledge of processing international travel.

Customer Interface:

Display proper protocol with Military/International Customers, handle registration and visit requests for conferences & customer/consultant/supplier visits, and set up meetings.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 6 years of direct experience in senior-level administrative support

  • Recent experience (in the past five years or less) in an administrative support of a company leader

  • Ability to work seamlessly with the Mission Assurance Leadership team and at all levels of the organization and a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment in complex situations

  • Prior experience planning, developing, and coordinating multiple projects

  • Experience organizing resources and establishing priorities

  • Successful experience working in a team environment

  • Should be proficient with Microsoft Office and other software resources.

Desired Skills

  • Broad familiarity with customer and company structure

  • Experience in working in a Fortune 500 company and/or a major defense contractor

  • Must be a self-starter, experience working autonomously and able to operate with minimal supervision in a highly visible, high pressure environment

  • Excellent organizational and time organization skills

  • Excellent technically to learn as needed new tools and processes as required by the job

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written (i.e., grammar, spelling, punctuation).

Required Education

  • High School Diploma and 6 years senior-level administrative experience

Desired Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
