Raytheon Technologies Finance Associate Director, Prgrm Cost Cntrls in McKinney, Texas

This is a high-visibility role as the Associate Director of Finance for the Special Mission Aircraft (SMA) Product Area, within Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS) Product Line of the Raytheon Space & Intelligence (RIS) business. The Associate Director of SMA Finance position will be responsible for all financial aspects of the product areas to include financial planning, reporting, analysis, Earned Value Management and compliance, Estimates at Completion (EACs), proposal support, cash management, capital/company funded requests, ROI analysis, audit/policy compliance and ah-hoc financial status reviews with leadership . This role is responsible for leading a small team of financial professionals in the execution of all finance activities. This position will partner with functional leadership as well as integration with our Raytheon United Kingdom Airborne Product Area in supporting SMA financial execution. Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:

  • Interacts with managers, directors and VPs across ISRS on financial matters regarding product area and program performance, financial planning and analysis production and actions necessary to meet business objectives.

  • Complies and reviews financial plans and forecast for product area using actual performance, historical data, estimated cost and other data to control funds and provide proper financial administration.

  • Prepares financials plans, monitors implementation of budget activities, prepares regular and special purpose reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, establishes cost rates and forecasts.

  • Develops cost strategies, forming proposal cost team, supporting cost volume activities in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specification.

  • Interprets financial policies and procedures and prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budget and determines rationale for variances.

  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies including Sarbanes/Oxley and EVMS/EAC requirements.

  • Responsible for directing activities to meet critical deadlines with accurate and auditable data.

  • Responsible for hiring, developing and managing a staff of professionals.

  • Establishes, interprets, and recommends modifications to operating policies and procedures that improve the platform’s financial position.

  • Ensures adequate financial controls that provide a balance between finance goals and operation’s goals.

    Required Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in financial areas to include program controls and financial planning and reporting

  • 10+ years of experience with EACs and Earned Value Management

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to include executive level interaction

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking

  • Demonstrated ability to influence others

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and lead teams to success and develop talent

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet multiple commitments as expected

  • Demonstrated experience with SAP and/or other financial platforms

  • Front end of the business/competitive proposal experience

  • Risk and Opportunity analysis skills

    Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in APEX and PRISM Earned Value and Financial Planning, EDIT/EDIT+, SAS ETC Tool, and other related program execution tools

  • Strong ability to coordinate and build rapport with all disciplines: Program Management, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Mission Assurance, and Human Resources

  • Existing TS/SCI security clearance

    Required Education (including Major):

    Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
