Raytheon Technologies Operations Engineer I in McKinney, Texas
This role is a part of the CMC Operations Team. The CMC Operations Engineer is responsible for tracking, reporting, and driving the adherence to continuous improvement project schedules and costs. This will be accomplished by supporting a weekly and monthly tracking and reporting cadence. This position also requires the ability to generate and update project plans. Responsibilities require working directly with Quality, Operations, Mechanical, Facilities, and Test Engineering personnel to achieve results. The CMC Operations Engineer will also support continuous improvements, defect prevention and engage with work areas to address quality issues. This role will require a continuous improvement attitude in all business processes and support functions. Responsible for making adjustments or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.
Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
Ability to drive project documentation.
Experience driving on-time project completion.
Ability to track project status and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Ability to lead small scale projects.
Knowledge of equipment acquisition and installation.
Knowledge of facilities construction.
Understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Experience with factory layout.
Ability to support defect prevention and engage teams to drive down defects.
Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action.
Desire to drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap and rework.
Ability to learn Microsoft Project.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Technology, Science or related discipline
