Missiles and Defense is seeking a program management/planning professional to join the Program Planning Department within Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD).
The Technical Planner position will be a member of the Program Management Excellence organization, supporting all RMD programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance and analysis of the Program Master Phasing Schedule, Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for Tucson programs .
Duties include strategy development, customer communication, coordination and status meetings, briefings, status reports. The candidate will also have responsibility for leading Pit Stop Planning and Critical Chain, sessions across the business for complex engagements, mentoring other planners on advanced planning techniques and leading projects/initiatives focused on improving planning in start-up, project set-up and proposals.
The candidate will be the authority in leading the development of the Integrated Master Plan and Integrated Master Schedule.
The candidate will also apply planning principles to guide the programs in the use of AGILE/SCRUM, Schedule Risk Analysis, Critical Chain, Schedule Acceleration Techniques. May also provide appropriate technical consulting, interfacing, analysis and training for control account managers, ITP leads, PMs and program personnel on IMS and all technical data associated with the IMS, and contribute to development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, and training relating to IMS creation, maintenance, and management.
Additionally, this role will provide support for various additional department initiatives, including learning and planner certification deployment.
Responsible for partnering with the program team to ensure the schedule/program plan is executable (cost, schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated) and executing as planned.
Provides weekly and monthly planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical path analysis, and schedule variance analysis and network logic validation.
Performs schedule risk analysis utilizing statistical software that provides the program team with the probabilities for better decision making in meeting program commitments.
Employs Earned Value Management System processes and is an advocate in the discipline of program planning and scheduling.
Must be able to identify and recommend insightful mitigation plans, to ensure the IMS is use as a predictive model and as a valued management tool for the program.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with governmental and customer requirements.

The candidate will incorporate contractual and programmatic changes into the IMS in order to maintain realistic current contract schedule baselines.
The weekly and monthly business rhythms will require communication (electronically and verbally) of schedule status including but not limited to, results of critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, schedule variance analysis and the results of ‘what if’ exercises to the Program Manager, the customer and to senior management.
To be successful in this role the candidate must develop strong relationships with Program Management, Finance, IPTs, CAMs and customers.
Integrating IMS’s to APEX, MPM, EVMS tools Familiar with Schedule RAACCE, AGILE/SCRUM, Pit Stop Planning
Exercising including Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process and Schedule Risk Analysis
8+ years of professional experience in Business management, Program management or program planning and scheduling
Proficiency with software designed for creating and maintaining industry related schedules. (MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, or similar scheduling software)
Demonstrated project ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
Project Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management techniques
: BS: Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Demonstrated understanding of IPDS
Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or similar certification
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Cost Estimating/BOE generation
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
Demonstrated ability to deliver customer focused solutions
