Raytheon Technologies Section Manager- Materials & Process Engineering in McKinney, Texas
Raytheon Technologies seeks an experienced Materials and Process Engineering Manager to provide top-quality products for the nation’s defense, in a cooperative and collaborative work environment.
The Section Manager will be responsible for leading a team of 10 to 20 Materials and Process engineers within the RI&S McKinney Factory Engineering Department and will provide management activities including staffing and hiring, training coordination, performance management, career development, and resource management. The Section Manager will be a highly effective leader, communicator, collaborator, and a decision maker and the candidate will also be a strong advocate for knowledge sharing, innovation, and productivity improvement while promoting and enforcing high professional standards.
Approximately 80% of the Section Manager's time will be in support of discrete work scope, which will include a focus on Materials and Process engineering activities outlined in the required skills section below.
Security Clearance : The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
At least ten (10) years of professional experience
Materials and process engineering experience with solder, coatings, and adhesive materials
Materials and process testing in a lab environment
Experience in factory/assembly contamination control engineering
Four (4) years of related leadership experience including successful Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leadership, Engineering Functional Leadership, Program Management/Program Office Leadership and/or Technical Leadership
Ability to lead cross discipline engineering teams with strong organizational, coordination, planning, and team building skills
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Active Secret Clearance
Six Sigma Expert
Experience with development, transition to production, and production programs
Experience with EO/IR systems in a production environment
Knowledge of capital procurement process for equipment in support of engineering labs
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) related discipline
