Raytheon Technologies Senior Principal Electrical Engineer in McKinney, Texas
We are currently seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer with Technical Leadership, Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Design experience to join the Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS) EO Electronics department in the McKinney, TX. The candidate will be involved in leading teams focused on electronics architecture, FPGA design, CCA design, and Sub-System development. Also included in the role is the responsibility to provide and use enabling tools, best practices and processes for effective and efficient implementation of the work scope by team members. The technical lead will be responsible to ensure development, verification and on-time delivery of quality work products, accurate and approved inputs to business development and growth opportunities, applicable content for Gates and Independent Reviews (IRs). Business development responsibilities will include generation of Basis of Estimate (BOE) to support proposals and Estimate at Complete (EAC) requirements including preparation and presentation of Bid and EAC Review packages to leadership. The technical lead will interact frequently with multi-disciplined team leads, Chief Engineers and Program Managers to ensure that team members are meeting the needs of our internal and external customers. Vendor and supplier engagements, as well as travel, may be required.
Minimum ten (10) years of engineering experience
Four (4) years of related experience including Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leadership, Engineering Functional Leadership, Program Management/Program Office Leadership and/or Technical Leadership
Able to secure a DoD Secret Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
10 years of Engineering experience to include 7 years' experience working with FPGAs or similar configurable logic design
10 years of Engineering experience to include 7 years' experience working with Circuit Card Design
Minimum ten (10) years of successful execution in all phases of hardware product development, integration, verification, transition to production, production and/or sustainment
Five (5) years + of recent experience implementing/leading product design using Integrated Product Development System/Process (IPDS/IPDP) for electronics hardware including but not limited to FPGA, digital/high speed processing, analog/power and/or interconnect electronics products
Hardware Integration and Test (I&T), Integration/Verification/Validation (IV&V), Transition to Production, Production and Sustainment experience
Subsystems Engineering (SSE) experience
Agile product development expertise
Experience with Xilinx, Altera/Intel, or Microsemi FPGAs or Systems on a Chip
Familiarity with Vivado, Quartus, or Libero
Proficiency with VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog
Mentor Expedition, Cadence Allegro, or similar PCB tools
Background in Sensor and Read Out IC
Image Processing of Color and/or Monochrome sensor data
Background in Non Uniformity Correction
Familiarity with Electro-Optical Electronics and airborne and space platforms
Current DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance
Bachelors’ degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline
M.S. in Electrical Engineering or other relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or a related discipline
