This position is for a MRP Controller role within the McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC) in McKinney, TX.

Creates and executes plan sub-assemblies, end items and other parts as required. Facilitates the capacity management process, including identification and escalation of long-term capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning). Executes continuous management of the master demand schedule, including adherence to all required validations using the best information available, in order to provide long-range organizational effectiveness. Tracks and manages inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow. May be responsible for creating commit/build plans, managing metrics and driving action for burn downs, and drive part shortage resolution. Monitors inventory and responsible for system troubleshooting. Performs escalated expediting when required to ensure on time delivery of material. Mitigates risks for short-term shortages with internal suppliers to ensure successful customer delivery.

This pivotal role will operate in multiple shop floor and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) related systems to ensure alignment between material position and production schedule. Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing work order releases based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements,

  • Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build

  • Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements,

  • Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed,

  • Working daily to confirm material supply and demands,

  • Coordinating cross-functional interdepartmental activity as needed (i.e. with Quality Assurance, Factory Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, Logistics),

  • Taking corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary.

    Major day to day tasks will include, but are not limited to: PRISM functions, assess supply resources, plan inventory, participate in factory build planning, coordinate material for all products, and CMES & shop floor coordination. This role will work closely with the factory and operations teams, as well as be responsible for material inventory audits and movement of material within the factory/building. In this role the ownership & use of metrics will be key to maintain system health and drive the level of performance that will support customer expectations.

This job requires clear and effective communication skills that will be utilized to provide daily briefings and reporting pertaining to operations. This position requires a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives in a demanding environment. The ability to interface with all levels of management in an IPT environment is essential to perform in this job. This individual will also be expected to promote Raytheon’s keys values, facilitate problem resolution and apply Raytheon Six Sigma.

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Operations Production/Inventory Control/Supply Chain/Material management or similar field.

Course work, academic projects, or professional experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or any other Operations-related field

The ability to interface with multiple levels of management in an IPT environment with effective communication skills.

The ability to interact with internal and external customers with respect to product/material planning, problem resolution and process improvement

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and environments

Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software

Experienced and effective communicator (presentation skills, written and verbal communication)

Motivated and takes on challenges with minimal direction, with the ability to be proactive and drive action accordingly

Ability to apply critical thinking techniques, using logic and reasoning to identify approaches to problems, and the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions

Experience working with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, OneNote, Visio)

Required Education:

Must have a BS / BA from an accredited university with a major in Operations, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
