Raytheon Technologies Sr. Software Systems Engineer- C++ in McKinney, Texas
Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Mission Analysis Modeling & Simulation Senior Systems Engineer II to support Operations Analysis and Virtual Simulation across the RIS portfolio of leading edge, high-tech mission systems.
Looking for innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to develop computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects of RIS products in complex threat environments. These models will generate virtual and/or analytical solutions to identify technology gaps, create technology roadmaps, develop requirements, and specify or demonstrate the operational benefits of advanced concepts in complex operational scenarios.
Candidate will develop and integrate virtual and/or analytic simulations, execute analysis plans, and generate work products that inform system development, simulation deliverables, or new business initiatives.
* Position requires US Citizenship as a DoD clearance is required within the first 12 months of employment*
* This position will start out at the Plano Parkway office and move to McKinney in Sept*
Ability to integrate distributed Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) simulation components that are comprised of custom simulation software, COTS, hardware, firmware, and software/hardware/human-in-the-loop
Ability to develop a modeling and simulation solution; and understand and implement the proposed solution within the larger System being modeled, designed, and/or tested.
Minimum of 6 years engineering experience
At least 4 years of experience of Object-oriented programming/ design (OOP/OOD) with C/C+
- Proficient using and developing software on both Windows and Linux
Strong grasp of OS fundamentals (Scheduling, Shared Mem, Multi-Threaded, etc.)
Strong grasp of mathematics including linear algebra, probability, and statistics
Ability to interface with staff from other departments and engineering domains:
Software, Firmware, Electrical, IT, Supply chain, Program Management, etc.
Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems and obtain a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Proficiency in computer network fundamentals and socket programming
Proficiency or experience with installing and using variety of OS’s on a variety of targets, including virtualization. (May include Windows, Linux, Virtual Box, VMware, Raspberry Pi)
E xperience with scientific computing environments such as (MATLAB, Simulink, STK)
Familiarity with configuration management (GIT, subversion).
Familiarity with IEEE 1278 DIS, IEEE 1516 HLA, and/or TENA
Familiarity with radar, electro optical (EO), and infrared (IR) sensing systems
Experience with CGF/SAF framework products: VrForces, OneSAF, Stage, MACE, etc.
Familiarity/ interest in gaming engines (Unreal / Unity / OpenGL / 3D modeling)
Familiarity with scene/sensor visualization generation products/specs: MaK VrVantage, Open Scene Graph, GenIR, GenRF, MetaVR, Presagis Vega Prime/ OndulusIR / Terra Vista/ Creator, JRM SigSim / SenSim, X-Plane, OGC CDB
Experience with other simulation frameworks such as: EMANE, AFSIM, RCADE
