The Global Supply Chain team is responsible for working closely with suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. The compressor airfoils team is seeking to expand capacity in the supply base in order to support both legacy and next generation product production. This role will focus on the elements of:
Procurement of airfoils for a variety of Pratt & Whitney product
Supplier management of on-time delivery, leading indicator metrics, and capacity ramp plans
Cross functional coordination between Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Production Readiness, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Workshare (GWS) and multiple suppliers
New airfoil supplier introduction to Pratt & Whitney
Successfully transitioning product to a multi-source strategy
This role will have high customer visibility. Strong project management skills are required to ensure successful execution of tactical plans and product transitions. We are seeking a candidate with strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work in a challenging environment. The individual should be action-oriented with strong communication skills, specifically conversational, email, telephone, and occasional presentation, are desired. They will be expected to hold the suppliers and Pratt & Whitney team members equally accountable to meet the milestone plan committed to the customer.
The candidate will also be expected to conduct standard product purchasing, including order placement, coordinating demand and scheduling, supplier relationship management, and delivery assurance. As an Account Specialist, the candidate will be expected to comply with all aspects of the P&W Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, & Transition Standard Work (TSW).
Bachelors of Science in Engineering minimum 5 years of prior experience .Willing to consider candidates with less years of experience for a lower labor grade.
Manufacturing, Business, or Supply Chain
Project management experience and or certification
Prior experience in a supply chain or project engineering role
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skill
Competent with Microsoft Office tools including MS Project
Energetic self-starter, effective leading cross functional teams
Working knowledge in SAP preferred
Travel requirements vary, average around 10% annually
