Have you considered what it may be like to work at Pratt & Whitney? The Engine Center (EC) Assembly Materials Organization has a rare opportunity for a Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) Controller in our engine assembly building in Middletown, Ct.
Key Job Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate material kitting in support of assembly floor need, working closely with the on-campus Forward Stocking Location (FSL)and remote warehouses
Utilize Lean principles to establish world-class Materials Flow/Synchronization within the value stream
Support shortage management process
Oversee materials/logistics issues
Coordinate with Engine and Module Assembly to ensure parts are available when needed
Participate in making allocation/priority decisions on critical hardware
Utilize/operate Andon system in support of assembly floor requirements
Support efforts to drive cost & lead time reductions.
You will work closely with engineering, quality & industrial management to ensure assembly and test requirements are fully supported.
This is a 2nd shift position.
Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing Strategies and Techniques OR Advanced Degree with 2+ years of experience
1+ years of SAP operating system experience
US citizenship required due to government contracts
Creative troubleshooting skills
Able to craft clear communications
Computer skills- Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project
Possess Excellent Judgement and professional maturity
Strong analytical skills
Participate in Process Improvement efforts
Strong desire to succeed and pursue personal growth and developmental opportunities
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with all levels throughout the organization
