Have you considered what it may be like to work at Pratt & Whitney? The Engine Center (EC) Assembly Materials Organization has a rare opportunity for a Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) Controller in our engine assembly building in Middletown, Ct.

Key Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate material kitting in support of assembly floor need, working closely with the on-campus Forward Stocking Location (FSL)and remote warehouses

  • Utilize Lean principles to establish world-class Materials Flow/Synchronization within the value stream

  • Support shortage management process

  • Oversee materials/logistics issues

  • Coordinate with Engine and Module Assembly to ensure parts are available when needed

  • Participate in making allocation/priority decisions on critical hardware

  • Utilize/operate Andon system in support of assembly floor requirements

  • Support efforts to drive cost & lead time reductions.

  • You will work closely with engineering, quality & industrial management to ensure assembly and test requirements are fully supported.

  • This is a 2nd shift position.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing Strategies and Techniques OR Advanced Degree with 2+ years of experience

  • 1+ years of SAP operating system experience

  • US citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Creative troubleshooting skills

  • Able to craft clear communications

  • Computer skills- Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project

  • Possess Excellent Judgement and professional maturity

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Participate in Process Improvement efforts

  • Strong desire to succeed and pursue personal growth and developmental opportunities

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with all levels throughout the organization
