This position is for an Experienced Procurement professional to manage critical rotating hardware (IBRs). Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program execution. Authorizes purchase orders, approve payments, and responds to client issues to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities

This role will focus on the elements of:

  • Procurement of critical rotating parts

  • Supplier management of on-time delivery, leading indicator metrics, and capacity ramp plans

  • Cross functional coordination between Quality, Materials, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Strategic Sourcing, Continuous Improvement, Production Readiness, Global Workshare (GWS) and multiple suppliers

  • Successfully manage transitioning products to a multi-source strategy

Account Specialists have high customer visibility. You need to have strong project management skills to ensure tactical plans and product transitions are successful. Additionally, strong leadership and communication skills are required to work in this challenging environment as Account Specialist facilitate collaboration across a cross-functional team.

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Conducting Standard Product Purchasing responsibilities, including order placement, coordinating demand and scheduling, supplier relationship management, delivery assurance and turn back monitoring and reporting

  • Ensuring successful execution of tactical plans and product transitions

  • Driving achievements, delivery plans and customer committed actions to completion

  • Responsible for tracking Critical Parts to include the identification of any part shortages by engine module to ensure that the production schedule is met

  • Approving and qualifying vendors to fulfill account needs

  • Authorizing purchase orders and approving payments to ensure the procurement process is timely and efficient

  • Analyzing and review price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices

  • Preparing and reviewing request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages

  • Analyzing and monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations

  • Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within the IBR commodity

  • Ensuring product is delivered on time, meets quality standards and at the right cost

  • Compliance with all aspects of the Pratt & Whitney Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, & Transition Standard Work (TSW)

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Project Management, Technical or related field

  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience

  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to Government contracts

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree is preferred but not required

  • Ability to communicate throughout all executive and non-executive levels of the organization

  • The ability to work as self-starter with flexible roles and responsibilities, limited formal training and firm deliverables

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs functionality

  • Experience in materials or supply chain management and Aerospace Industry

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work in a global supply chain

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Strong follow-through and project management skills

  • Experience as a day-to-day user of SAP, entering transactions and running reports

  • Strong customer focus experience with a focus on business results
