We have a rare opportunity for a talented Supply Chain Account Specialist to join the Procurement team in Middletown, CT. In this role you’ll support the Forgings and Raw Materials Team working with World Class Forging sources around the globe. You’ll perform various Purchasing and Supply Chain Management functions while maintaining focus on engine readiness for our customers.
This position is within the Cold Section Module Center Global Supply Chain Team.
The selected candidate’s expectations include the following:
Manage the procurement cycle from supplier selection, to bid process, to order placement and occasionally payment of invoice.
Collaborate with the LTA Contracts team on developing Long Term Agreements.
Solicit quotes, negotiate pricing, provide cost analysis and price justification against Purchase Order (Schedule Agreement) execution.
Manage supplier relationships and oversee delivery and quality performance.
Communicate changes effectively and accurately report status of delivery dates, Order Status and open issues.
Maintain accuracy of purchasing documents and data.
Work with cross functional teams (Materials, Engineering, Quality and Operations).
Champion daily use of the ACE operating system to improve EH&S, Quality, Delivery, Financial Health, Employee Engagement and Customer Satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with applicable Procurement Manual Regulations, Requirements, and GSC Standard Work.
5+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree or 3+ years relevant experience with an Advanced Degree
2+ years’ experience in a Procurement environment
2+ years’ experience with SAP
US Citizenship required due to government contracts
BA/BS Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance preferred
MBA or Master’s Degree.
Minimum 3 years’ Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Experience is Supply Chain and / or Operations Management within an Aerospace component manufacturer or Air Framer.
Strong parts buying or procurement experience.
Experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
Strong Negotiation skills.
Demonstrated leadership and Communication skills working with various levels of Management.
Strong customer focus experience with a focus on business results.
