​​​​​​ We are looking for (2) Full Time Security Guards to join our Team!

Reporting to the EHSS Manager, the Security Guard is a front line representative of the company to all employees, visitors, contractors and customers. The Security Guard is responsible for Asset Protection within the facility, verifying all safety and emergency equipment is effectively working, and writes reports based on observations, factual evidence and occurrences. The Security Guard is accountable for the assets of the facilities via continuous monitoring of Closed Circuit Television and access control programs for visitors, employees and out-going shipments.

Technical Requirements:

  • Assist in the day to day operation of the Global Security Services department.

  • Patrol all areas of the site at regular intervals to discourage prohibited acts, prevent unauthorized entry, conduct fire protection equipment checks and ensure the facility is secure.

  • Respond to alarm situations such as fire , door breaches and CCTV alarms.

  • Maintain electronic ledgers, daily logs , and notebooks .

  • Conduct and document appropriate investigations .

  • Provide escort duty and security assistance where and when necessary.

  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA , applicable regulations and internal policies and procedures.

  • Flexible to work rotating shifts , overtime and weekends.

  • Competent with Microsoft Office computer applications

    Key Competencies:

  • Education in Law Enforcement/Security and related experience is preferred.

  • Licensed Private Security & Investigative Services- Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Service required.

  • Minimum of one year security related experience in a similar environment.

  • Required to hold a valid driver’s license.

  • Valid CPR and First Aid is required.

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Able to respond to emergency situations and make appropriate decisions focusing on the safety of the occupants as well as maintaining the integrity of the facility.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a background check, and pass a security clearance check after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
