This position will support military component repair services for various P&W MRO business units. Perform supply chain management for multiple P&W business units and external suppliers of component repairs in the Northeast United States.
The successful candidate will:
Coordinate closely with the supplier’s management and operations team to achieve high delivery and quality performance.
Provide delivery assurance oversight at supplier locations including WIP status review, logistical support, and priority guidance.
Perform assessments of the supplier’s capability to perform and sustain performance.
Engage the supplier to diagnosis risks and work to develop a comprehensive gap plan.
Follow-up with the PW and supplier team to validate the gap plan and monitor progress to ensure the benefits are being achieved.
Establish leading indicators of performance and track weekly at each supplier.
Intervene to expedite deliveries and/or resolve delivery issues as required.
Interface with ME Spares and LPM organizations to resolve repair detail shortages.
-BA/BS degree w/5–10+ years’ applicable experience
Candidate must have the ability to successfully interface with various internal departments, external suppliers, and business units at all company levels. There is extensive contact and business relationship building with internal customers and suppliers. This role will play a key role in the overall Supply Chain Management continuous improvement strategic goals. The incumbent is responsible for complying with UTC’s ―Code of Ethics, Policy Statement on Business Ethics and Conduct in Contracting with the U.S. Government, and related P&W policies & procedures. In executing his/her responsibilities, incumbent shall take all steps necessary to foster open communications and to support UTC’s compliance, business practices, DIALOG, and Ombudsman programs.Basic Qualifications: Selected candidate should have 5 - 10+ years of experienceHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required and ability to analyze and create complex reports and metrics from ERP data to support decision making and interactions with suppliers.
Experience with continuous improvement processes is desirable.
Knowledge of procurement in support of government contracts is desirable.
Strong Leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of accomplishment in business performance.
Ability to work and communicate with multiple disciplines within the Military Engines organization.
Ability to initiate, lead and sustain change activities at the suppliers.
Frequent domestic travel required.
U.S. Citizenship Required
Highly adaptable person.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with SAP or related ERP system is preferred.
