Role Overview

  • Lead all areas of engineering, processes, work instructions, quality requirements, materials selection, and regulatory requirements

  • Help to develop and enforce standardized engineering practices, processes, tools and methods across all value streams

  • Manage projects and lead Continuous Improvement, project management, quality improvement efforts across all value streams

  • Provide exemplary professional representation to customers and OEM’s, to the FAA and to other regulatory agencies

  • Develop engineers in key technology and skill sets which are critical for the group success

  • Lead implementation of automation solutions

  • Lead the strategy for comprehensive data collection and analysis from all processes that will support robust process development and understanding of the Smart Factory

  • Lead a team of engineers supporting the recruitment, development and retention of engineering talent.

  • Manage the resources and assignments across the manufacturing cells

  • Identify, investigate and implement new technology to address business goals

  • Work with managers of other disciplines within the business to ensure the overall quality, cost, and delivery of services

  • Assist in the preparation of general business plans, manpower plans and engineering schedules in accordance with program expectations

Basic Qualification

  • Bachelors of Science in engineering, manufacturing, or technically-related field is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • SAP experience or ERP system knowledge strongly preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills are required, both oral and written, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels within and outside the organization

  • Must have the ability to motivate and lead a team with competing priorities, clearly articulating goals and objectives

  • Must have the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, and provide strong leadership to a diverse group of engineering professionals

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred

  • Leadership, critical thinking, business discernment, innovation, collaboration, written & verbal communication, presentation, analytical thinking, problem solving, customer focus, attention to detail

  • Prior supervisor experience is desired

  • Prior experience in process engineering and/or aerospace is highly desirable

  • A thorough knowledge of quality and process improvement tools such as Six Sigma, AGILE, SCRUM and/or LEAN

  • Knowledge and effective practice of Environmental, Health and Safety requirements
