The Inspection Technician physically inspects aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards and quality, customer requirements have been met, and components are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation accurately completed and filed.
Perform both final & receiving inspection on repair/overhaul components and piece parts.
Must be thoroughly familiar with customer and regulatory requirements to determine airworthiness of the product on which maintenance, preventive maintenance have been done.
Report any problems, issues, or concerns to the Quality Control Supervisor or Quality Manager.
Enter turn-backs when hardware or paperwork issues are identified.
Ensuring they have been properly trained and have met the minimum requirements and earn the appropriate stamps.
Maintain proficiency through training requirements.
Ensuring non-conforming product is handled properly.
Must have experience performing inspections in Aviation/Aerospace industry
HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
OR In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
FAA A&P Certificate desired but not required.
Repairman Certificate must be obtained within six months after hire.
Ability to read and interpret technical data and quality procedures.
Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
