Raytheon Technologies Systems / Network Engineer (NCRB) in Morrisville, North Carolina

This position is CONTINGENT upon funding, an open position, customer approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain & maintain a USPS sensitive clearance.

An experienced Systems / Network Engineer (NCRB) to join the Security leadership team supporting one of our clients. The effective candidate for this job will work as part of a team of cyber security professionals supporting a major nationwide networked operation. This team will work together to review, document, and improve the Technology Management processes for a CISO organization within a major, U.S. Government agency.

This job will be located in Morrisville, NC and does not provide relocation.

Job responsibilities:

  • The position requires U.S. Person status or a Non-U.S. Person be eligible to obtain Authorization.

  • Candidate must have minimum of 4+ years of related operational experience in cyber security

  • 6+ years related work experience

  • Application of change control processes and tools to create a plan to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.

  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications.

  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.

  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs.

    Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years additional relevant work experience in an environment that supports integrated risk management.

  • MUST have a strong understanding of IPV6

  • Certification in one or more of; Windows, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified, Networking Professional (CCNP), or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).

  • Skilled Communicator – Facilitator; able to engage and interact with all organizational/cultural levels.

  • Demonstrable awareness of Splunk reporting (preferred). • Demonstrable knowledge and engineering for Windows, *nux, and Cisco.

  • Excellent technical writing skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must have the ability to manage, plan and implement high quality deliverables with minimal oversight

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Experience and/or skillset to fulfill the responsibilities identified above

    Desired Skills:

  • Complete change control assessments

  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics

  • Integrate change control activities into project plan

  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress

  • Experience and knowledge of change control principles, methodologies and tools

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent active listening skills

  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships

  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills

  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

  • Change management certification or designation desired

    Desired Certifications (one or more desired): Security +, CAP, CISSP, CCSP, or similar professional certification
