Senior Manager, User Experience & Design
This candidate will be designated as the lead UX program manager on the User Experience and Testing team. This person will lead the development of UX design, strategy, and positive user experiences for multiple, ongoing initiatives. The candidate will work alongside the program team to understand upcoming end-user technologies, features, roll outs, and large-scale deployments from the user-impact perspective, compile and aggregate those insights, and act as a conduit to the change management, communications, and learning teams to ensure successful documentation and understanding in order to communication out to users.
This person will help perform data analysis to identify efficiencies and savings and will demonstrate a track record of success analyzing user needs via contextual research, usability testing, and other validation methods. The candidate will also conduct end to end research projects: creating a plan, recruiting users, conducting the method, analyzing the data, and creating results presentations with actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
Lead several, sometimes overlapping projects, specifically from an end-user perspective
Interface with business unit representatives to explain the impact of upcoming releases, report out on user research, and to identify opportunities to drive efficiency and productivity
Assist in development of the UX team’s lesson’s learned, best practices, and documentation
Conduct research on innovative, productivity-enabling technology solutions and develop business cases to propose high performance, cost effective opportunities to meet business requirements. Bring these innovative technologies to a production ready state and coordinate RTX global introduction.
Interface with program team engineers, BU leads, and communications partners to champion and support strategic end-user development, documentation, and deployment
Plan, design, implement and manage multiple projects to support business requirements
Establish and cultivate relationships with users, business unit stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues
Ensure a best in class user experiences
Submit proper environment changes in timely manner to minimize environmental impact
Experience/Qualifications:
10+ years work experience within a large enterprise environment preferred
Three or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, and staffing
Demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders across the organization and within complex contexts
Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in IT transformational initiatives in complex, dynamic environments where agile was applied at scale
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
Experience in large corporate server rollout and support
Experience in large scale enterprise project management
Good time management with an ability to work on a number of projects and tasks concurrently setting own agendas and effectively prioritizing work
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of commonly used collaboration tools (i.e. O365, Teams, Zoom)
Knowledge of how employees use software, work both virtually and in-office, and an interest of the future of this space
Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices
Ability to travel.
Availability to provide On Call support out of normal working hours on a rotational basis.
Education:
10 years experience with BS or BA degree
Or advanced degree with 7 years experience preferred

Work could involve ITAR-regulated projects.
