Serve as the subject matter expert for the creation and delivery of On-The-Job manufacturing technical training for the Machining competency throughout the NBAS facility. Must be able to assess current and future training needs. Must be able to coordinate and complete projects goals in a timely and efficient manner.
Create and update On-The-Job curriculum through collaboration with various stakeholders in the Engineering, Quality Assurance and Operations teams to develop On-The-Job curriculum
Develop methods to assess proficiency and ensure training effectively and mastery of content
Facilitate and deliver technical training through various modes (in person, on-line, self-directed, etc.)
Identify additional subject matter experts and training resources as necessary to ensure training program meets organizational requirements
Active involvement in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to meet Training Department objectives
Work with outside vendors to deliver training on new and existing equipment, processes and competencies
Proactively inform management of training status, gaps, and options for moving forward
Assure compliance with training documentation procedures and record maintenance requirements
Assist the Operational Excellence Team in other areas as needed
Minimum of 10 years related Machining experience or 7 years related Machining experience with Technical Certificate/Post-Secondary Degree in related field
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
4+ years of experience in technical training + Certified Train-the-Trainer
15+ years machining experience
Technical Certificate/Post-Secondary Degree in related field
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and excellent overall technical skills
Advanced Blueprint interpretation and GD&T skills.
Proven experience designing, writing technical content, and evaluating deliverable under aggressive timelines in a manufacturing setting
Passion for learning new equipment, ideas and systems quickly, combined with the ability to translate business requirements into employee friendly training materials
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Must be willing to work weekend overtime as well as alternate shifts and pre and post shift overtime as required to meet organizational goals
