SUMMARY:
In this position you will be reporting to the manufacturing engineering digital specialist a division of the CI Industrial engineering team. As the Industrial Engineering Specialist Co-op student, you will plan, design and execute activities that are directly related to standard work development throughout the Oakville facility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Benchmark document the manufacturing standard work process, that in which is defined of 4 key processes
Critical Lifitng plans for Part, fixture and related tooling
Standard Operating Instructions
Standard Work Combination Sheets (SWCS) – perform time studies through the use of time audits / video recording
Standard Layout by work center
Project manage and plan the allocation of resources, materials necessary to complete the standard work
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Techniques and applications
Demonstrated proficiency in all MS office applications.
Proficiency 3D CAD/CAM software’s such as CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, CREO, NX.
Proficiency in developing, editing video files in various applications, Timerpro, Adobe Pro, Imovie, etc..
Previous ERP experience necessary (SAP preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
