SUMMARY:

Landing Gear Operations is on the cusp of a major digital transformation for our factories, and we are searching for a Digital Technology Manager. The successful candidate will work together with the Landing Gear Digital Strategy team in the development and execution of digital transformation projects, and the sustainment of digital technologies for Landing Gear Operations at the Oakville site. Responsibilities include coordinate resources within Operations to define user requirements, procure and manage the installation of hardware, plan and facilitate change management, and align site leadership with the wider Landing Gear digital transformation road map.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Function as the focal for Oakville Operations digital transformation and work in partnership with the Landing Gear Digital Strategy team to execute on Industry 4.0 initiatives.

  • Work directly with the Digital Strategy project manager to plan projects, define requirements, manage site resources, and execute on project deliverables.

  • Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices to meet operational objectives.

  • Communicate and manage project vision with site leadership to ensure an understanding of the project plan and scope.

  • Build highly effective project teams and establish effective relationships with impacted departments and functional areas.

  • Communicate expectations and instill accountability in team members.

  • Develop and execute on training plans for the Operations teams for both sustained technologies and new technology projects.

  • Make timely, sound business decisions that support the business objectives and be concise to present project summary to Oakville Senior Leadership team.

Key Oakville Initiatives

  • CIMCO Andon and Turnback tracking System; Evolve and maintain

  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) – Launch for Oakville in 2022

  • Digitize the Tier Management System – Harmonize across Oakville site.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in relevant discipline and 5 years of relevant digital experience. In the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant l experience is required.

  • 5 plus years’ experience with project management oversight of infrastructure and software development initiatives

  • 5 plus years’ experience leading projects with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience implementing software solutions for internal or external customers.

  • Superior oral and written communication skills, and well organized.

  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building and managing schedules in MS Project, or other equivalent project management tools.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in post-implementation training for software.

  • SAP ECC or equivalent ERP systems

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
