Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, as the Process Technician - Painter, you will be involved in the preparation and the spray application of primer along with topcoat, and sealant on aircraft components.

Shift – Afternoon (Monday – Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, masking, attaching fixtures, painting, and demasking

  • Work from drawings and manufacturing instructions

  • Paint booth and equipment maintenance

  • Part loading/unloading

  • Participation in cross-functional training in related processes as required

  • Work in a safe team-oriented environment and participate as an active member of the implementation & execution of TPM, LEAN, 5S, and FOD prevention principles

  • Support quality initiatives by performing operator-self-verification (OSV)

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma

  • 3+ years related experience in an industrial painting environment

  • Demonstrated Collins values including Ethical Behaviour, Customer Focused Improvement, Accountability & Teamwork, and Openness & Trust

  • Must be able to lift and manipulate up to 35lbs on a regular basis

  • Demonstrated hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity

  • Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner

  • Demonstrated ability to follow strict safety practices and procedures

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment

  • Successful candidates must meet all ITAR & CCGP requirements

  • Must be willing and able to work afternoon shift (Monday – Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.)
