Hardware Inspection and Distress Trending Manager

Global Services Engineering (GSE) is looking for a motivated leader to manage inspection and performance in the Unserviceable Hardware Clinic across all Military engine programs in Oklahoma City.

This leader will also supervise the Oklahoma City Distress Trending and Repair Initiation (DTRI) team.

The GSE inspection clinic acquires knowledge on unserviceable hardware stored in HFFR (Hold For Future Repair) inventory. The GSE Clinic documents hardware condition and distress data for engineering analysis, often a key input to Program decisions on limits or repair tasks. This leader will coordinate with key stakeholders to gather and share information on part distress. They will oversee training and development for all supporting personnel and ensure compliance with all EH&S requirements unique to the work area. They’ll ensure proper reporting of required metrics, such as process efficiency, backlog data, and calculation of clinic savings, consistent with internal and external customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages GSE participation and performance in the unserviceable hardware inspection clinic across all Military engine programs.

  • Ensures proper reporting of required metrics, such as process efficiency, backlog data, and calculation of clinic impact, consistent with internal and external customer expectations.

  • Coordinates with Engineering, Program office, Data Trending & Repair Initiation, and warehouse personnel to gather and share information on part distress. Ensures process alignment and communication across all engine programs.

  • Develops strategies to improve data collection efficiency, which may include technologies and software systems. Considers strategies for a “one-clinic” approach across all programs, and leverages/ drives activities working in Commercial programs to potentially benefit Military programs.

  • Provides supervisory oversight to onsite DTRI Engineers.

  • Ensures proper staffing levels and training for all supporting personnel.

  • Ensures proper alignment of deliverables, resources, and allocated funding.

  • Oversees all outsourced personnel and outsource contracts related to GSE clinic.

  • Ensures compliance with all EH&S requirements applicable to the work area and work scope.

  • Ensure accuracy and relevance of collected part distress data.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering

  • 8+ years related work experience in engineering, customer service, aftermarket, operations or 5+ years with an advanced degree

  • 5+ years in leadership or supervisory roles

  • 3+ years of experience working closely with Pratt & Whitney internal customers and enablers.

  • Direct experience supporting Military customers

  • US Citizenship required due to government contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA is a plus

  • Preferred candidates will have completed an advanced degree

  • Possess great strength in communication skills, self-motivation, and computer skills.

  • Solid record of demonstrated leadership and successful project management

  • Excellent team leadership and customer focus

  • Ability to effectively team across organizations to accomplish goals

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop effective working

  • relationships

  • Strong influencing, management and leadership skills

  • Excellent business judgment

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated understanding of Earned Value Management

  • SOW management experience is preferred

  • Prior supervisor experience is desired.
