The primary role of the Engineering Intern is to provide assistance to the members of the engineering department and support special process department personnel. The Engineering Intern will be involved in creating special process technique sheets, submit suggested repairs to customers, process corrective actions, and perform other tasks assigned by engineering.Primary Responsibilities:
Draw and modify drawings in AutoCAD including bushings and repair sketches
Draft technique sheets for electroplating, shot peen and NDT
Track Salvage Report Documents (SRDs)
Create Prime, Paint and Plating sketches
Complete Condition Report sketches
Design, alter and reverse engineer tooling
Complete, log and submit Engineering Letters to airline customers
Perform corrective actions
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Completion of two years in a university/college in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering program or equivalent.
Proficiency with current office software (Word, Excel, Acrobat)
Good organization, communication and documentation skills are a must
Excellent teamwork and problem solving skills. Detail oriented.
Ability to interpret complex mechanical blueprints.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop
Knowledge of machine shop, plating and manufacturing methods preferred
