Position overview:

This intern role for a Business Intelligence & Market Analytics analyst will be responsible for developing customer, market, and business insights that support and improve Interiors' Aftermarket Strategies. This is an interesting time for the Aerospace industry at large, and the insights from this individual will help clarify Interiors' diverse global customer base and guide improvements in performance and the overall growth strategy. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset; able to analyze information, identify problems and trends, and find ways to solve complex problems.

Key activities:

  • Work cross functionally throughout ISS to develop a holistic quantified view of the product install base.

  • Analyze ISS market drivers and provide accurate and up-to-date market segmentation

  • Regularly provide a distilled and insightful perspective on how current weekly and monthly market trends impact the ISS organization enterprise-wide.

  • Ensure that additional departments throughout ISS receive Market Intelligence reports and other critical business intelligence to enhance data driven decision making.

  • Contribute to the evolution of company analytics capabilities (tools)

  • Contribute to the selection of third parties contact databases

  • Receive, analyze, and report on diverse customer data sets.

  • Design and develop a set of reports to meet business needs to understand cross-channel behavior and improve targeting, monitor and measure the impact of business initiatives

  • Be the key focal point for all data feeds related to assigned programs, including active install base, historical and projected sales, and commercial issues -- ensuring satisfactory resolution where required

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business processes

  • Execute allocated Key Business Objectives in timely manner.

  • Perform other duties that are required by departmental procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Required skills:

  • Proficient in Excel

  • MS Access - familiar

  • Preferred, not required:

  • Familiar with Aftermarket business model and MRO/maintenance events

  • Technical knowledge of ISS products

  • ERP System knowledge (SAP, JDE)

  • Data languages: (R, Python)

  • Data visualization software: Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
