This position is for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position in the Phoenix, AZ Evacuation Systems facility. This position offers a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional to support a diverse and complex organization including hourly and salaried employees. The ideal candidate for this role is an energetic professional with knowledge and technical expertise in the Human Resource generalist discipline. Someone who would be successful in this role should have experience being a hands-on leader who can operate as a strategic thought partner, consultant, and trusted advisor to leaders. In this role you will be a consultative business partner to your assigned leadership teams/employees to assess the organization's HR needs and assist with human capital strategies to move the business forward while attracting, engaging, retaining and development our talent.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with business unit, department, and functional leadership to communicate and implement HR programs that support business goals and drive bottom line results.

  • Implements human resources strategies focused on increasing employee engagement, retention, talent health, and implementing plans for DE&I activities.

  • Compiles, analyzes, and reports Human Resources metrics to an assigned team to ensure that business unit or department objectives are met.

  • Partners with HR Shared Services on interpretation of human resources policies and procedures and related activities.

  • Assists with investigations and makes appropriate recommendations based on investigation findings. Identifies and helps to resolve labor and employee relations needs and issues; when needed, refers the matter to the appropriate specialists in Labor and Employee Relations.

  • Assists Talent Management with leading recruitment efforts, when needed, to help attract diverse talent and build bench strength.

  • Provides timely, high quality and impactful employee communications to educate, motivate and engage employees.

  • Works as a coach, consultant and advisor to leaders and deploy solutions to create organizational effectiveness.

  • Identifies training and development needs and issues; when needed, refers the matter to the appropriate specialists in Talent Management.

Some other skills useful in this human resource business partner role:

  • Communication: HR Business Partners communicate with various levels of the company. In addition to understanding the needs leaders express, the HR Business Partner must also be able to convey those needs to other employees with varied comprehension levels.

  • Project management: Strong project management skills like organization and time management will assist the HR business partner in effectively leading assigned project toward completion.

  • Problem-solving: HRBPs often must solve problems. In this role, you will have to be able to identify the problem and then come up with a solution to overcome it.

  • Influential Leadership: As an HRBP, you need to meet the overall objectives of the company by influencing, working through, and motivating others to complete the tasks.

  • Collaboration: As an HRBP, you will have to work with and across various functions to reach your objectives. You will have to be able to collaborate with a diverse group of thought partners and various parts of the HR organization to complete tasks.

  • Independent starter: As an HRBP, you will have to be able to initiate and complete tasks without prompting. There will be time where you must work independently on a project to meet a goal.

  • Change management: As an HRBP, having the ability to facilitate discussions around change and transformation is key. Additionally, being able to identify in advance where and when change management will be needed and proactively participate in developing plans will assist you with communicating and implement changes within the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is Required

  • Must be a US Person/Permanent Resident 'Green Card' holder

  • Must be willing to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Minimum 2 years experience supporting both salaried and hourly workforce

  • Minimum 2 years experience in project management

  • Minimum 2 years experience coaching and developing first level leaders

Ideally, this position will be located in the Phoenix, AZ area; candidate must be willing to relocate to, or local to the preferred location.
