The Operations Support Engineer (OSE) – Electronic Repair serves on a cross-functional team on the shop floor, supporting an electronics repair product line. This role is responsible for ensuring our ability to resolve troubleshooting and investigation issues quickly while staying compliant and meeting or exceeding our customer’s needs. This includes communication with the electronic technicians and customer service teams as well as directly with our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Act as an intermediary between electronic circuit design groups and customer engineering to resolve design issues

Guide electronic technicians through troubleshooting complex circuitry and electronic component analysis to determine failure root causes

Analyze trends in undesirable test results and identifying opportunities for design improvements

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve processes

Occasionally provide weekend and holiday support to meet customer needs

Influence key stakeholders

Interact with employees at all levels

Use excellent coaching and leadership skills to develop team members

Manage multiple priorities with competing demands

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience

OR

Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience

OR

In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in aerospace electronics troubleshooting/investigation

Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering or related technical field

5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment

Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders

Experience interacting with employees at all levels

Experience leveraging excellent coaching and leadership skills to drive business results

Demonstrated experience using excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Experience using strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Engineering experience working in commercial/military aerospace

Experience leveraging continuous improvement processes and tools (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) to improve results

Demonstrated ability to facilitate and manage change effectively

Experience using SAP in a manufacturing environment
