Job Summary

Plans, designs and executes activities that are directly related to the physical creation of UTC products and the functionaloperation of UTC facilities. Contains professional and para-professional disciplines.

Creates and executes plan for every part and maintain master data for purchased parts, sub-assemblies, end items and otherparts as required. Facilitates the capacity management process, including identification and escalation of long term capacitygaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SI&OP. Executes continuous management of the masterdemand schedule, including adherence to all required validations using the best information available, in order to provide longrange OE and aftermarket demand visibility in support of financial planning, internal and external capacity management, andthe overall SI&OP process. Monitors the transportation and delivery of inter/intraplant parts and outbound finished products.Tracks and manages inter/intraplant work in process (WIP), promise dating, expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery andflow. May oversee command center and drive part shortage resolution. Monitors tracking and shipping. Performs escalatedexpediting when required to ensure on time delivery of material. Mitigates risks for short term shortages with internal suppliersto ensure successful customer delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Directly supervises Technical / Business Support and/or Production / Maintenance employees in Materials Planning and SIOP.Plans and sets day-to-day operational objectives, including storing and shipping of products, planning activities, responding toinquiries, and checking quality of work. Prepares inventory control reports and manuals.

Directly supervises team of support employees in day-to-day planning activities.Participates in establishing plans and maintaining data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items and other parts asrequired.Develops the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customerdemands in support of SIOP.Participates in establishing continuous management of the master demand schedule, including adherence to required validationsusing the best information available.Prepares the transportation and delivery of inter/intra-plant parts and outbound finished products.Participates in tracking inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, and may expedite orders to ensure on-timedelivery and flow.Directly supervises tracking and shipping process.Participates in developing plans to minimize risks for short-term shortages and ensures successful customer delivery.

Basic Qualifications

Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling,prioritizing, coaching and process execution.Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience anda minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specializedknowledge of technical or operational practices.Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degreein Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and aminimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited bylocal laws/regulations.
