Specialist, HR Operations - Compensation

Raytheon Technologies People Services organization is seeking a talented compensation professional to provide HR Services that support the Total Rewards Community of Expertise (COE) Global Compensation programs, policies, and processes. This job can be performed remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple global incentive compensation plan processes for Corporate, PW, and Collins, to include participant validation, payout process and timeline management, automation initiatives, and after-action reviews;

  • Conducts pay analyses for managers and provides compensation consultation for managers, HR, and COE’s;

  • Creates, modifies, tests, and implements pay analysis compensation tools utilized by HR Services Comp, COE’s, TRP’s, and HR;

  • Utilizes case management system to respond to and resolve compensation questions and issues from managers, employees, COE, and other People Services teams;

  • Resolves recognition program process issues including workflow management and vendor interface;

  • Manages projects such as Collins manager market data delivery;

  • Researches and responds to government audits including OFCCP, DCAA, and DCMA;

  • May manage other projects and/or processes such as allowance programs, retention, patent awards, and/or annual compensation planning;

  • Drives process improvement by refining processes and procedures to align across business units, Corporate, and Total Rewards COE’s;

  • Influences others regarding policies, practices, and compliance.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Finance or equivalent experience

  • Professional compensation, project management, and/or Six Sigma certification(s) or accreditations a plus


  • Minimum five years’ experience in compensation, finance/accounting, or any combination of equivalent background is required; or minimum three years’ experience with master’s degree

  • Experience managing cross-functional projects, programs, or processes required

  • Experience in an HR transformational environment a plus

  • WorkDay knowledge is highly preferred

Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, charts, and macros

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, problem solving, and issue resolution skills

  • Strong drive to improve and automate processes to achieve best possible customer experience

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (consulting and influencing), including ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of employees and managers

  • Ability to drive change and challenge status quo
