We are in need of a technician with hands-on experience in the build, test, and troubleshooting of electronics hardware. The hardware performs a variety of functions including power generation and storage as well as high speed digital control. Applications range from wire harnesses, Circuit Card Assemblies, rack-mounted electronic cabinet assemblies, and system level. Responsibilities will require working with a team of engineers “to develop custom prototype hardware and to troubleshoot production hardware to determine root cause of failures” Specific tasks would include hands-on fabrication of prototype hardware, build documentation creation and maintenance, use of electrical test equipment, and organization and presentation of test results.
Raytheon Missiles & Defense is seeking an electrical engineer to join our Seapower and Electronic Systems Department (SESD), supporting Navy and Patriot programs at the Seapower Capabilities Center in Portsmouth, RI. In this role, you must be capable of solving technical problems in the area of analog, digital, mixed signal, configurable logic or power design. The desired candidate would possess multi-disciplined expertise in two or more of these areas and have the ability to work independently yet collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to : Soldering, Harness Fabrication, Mechanical Design and Assembly, Testing and Troubleshooting of Electronics Hardware, Test Equipment Use, Schematic Entry
Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a University degree (BS/BA) or willing to consider two (2) years of directly related experience in lieu of every one (1) year of education, and a minimum two (2) years of prior relevant experience.
Experience working in a multi-use Engineering laboratory
Experience using test equipment to test and verify the performance of electronics hardware.
Hands-on prototyping skills including soldering and mechanical fabrication.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
