Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

Job Summary:

The Readiness and Prototype Fabrication Support (R&PFS) Department within Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is seeking a Depot Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead at its Poulsbo, WA location. As an IPT Lead, you’ll report directly to the Department Leader, and will be responsible for the efforts required to build and repair prototype hardware and electro-mechanical assemblies, including acoustic equipment, deployment hardware, test equipment and electronic cabinets, in an engineering lab environment.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

In this role you’ll be responsible for the following:

  • Identifying staffing requirements, schedule definition and execution

  • Technical direction

  • Control Account Management (CAM)

  • Earned Value Management (EVM) status reporting

  • Risk and opportunities definition and management

  • Coordination with other discipline leads to ensure project success

  • Ensuring the lab and performing team are in compliance with all applicable requirements

    An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum 3 years’ experience may be considered for this role. A PhD can account for 5 years of experience as required for this role.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Education: Bachelor's degree OR 8+ years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. (Two years of related work experience can substitute for one year of college education)

Employment Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience with engineering service or hardware assembly

  • Experience in an engineering lab environment, depot support or a similar environment.

  • Project leadership or management experience

  • Experience using the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or experience managing budgets and tracking status

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Value:

  • Active/Current Secret-level Security Clearance

  • Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD), and in particular, the U.S. Navy

  • Working-level knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment

  • Experience in Basis of Estimating (BOE) and proposal BOE development

  • Ability to develop briefings and present to audiences up to 30 persons

  • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly

  • Proposal preparation experience.
