Raytheon Technologies Principal Systems Engineering Lead in Richardson, Texas
The Intelligence and Space Mission Area Systems Engineering Team is seeking a motivated individual for a Systems Engineering Lead. The Systems Engineer (SE) Lead provides program status for the Product Owner team pertaining to the development of Features and Capability Roadmaps. The Systems Engineer Lead is responsible for overall Systems Engineer Process Improvements, Release Planning (including capacity management), Systems Engineer Metrics, and Contract Data Requirement List document generation, GFX Management and Request For Change Assessment Management and participates in ERB document reviews. Additionally the Systems Engineer Lead supports ECP and RFC assessment efforts – helping with RFC assignments to Product Owners and in generation and review of a monthly RFC CDRL. This candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.
Hires, for this position, are eligible to receive a $30,000.00 signing bonus, when hired with a verified "Active" TS/SCI or higher clearance
Thorough understanding of Agile SAFe 4.0 processes and development lifecycle
Experience as an Engineering lead managing small teams
Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Integration and Verification teams
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team and ability to grow team cohesion and productivity
Solid understanding of GEOINT, GIS, NITF product specifications, REST services, and/or security Enclaves and Information Assurance release policies
An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. security clearance
Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
Experience in Systems Engineering process development on an Agile program and understanding of Agile development/Scrum Teams/Kanban and iterative Release development
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools including Confluence, JIRA, etc.
Education & Experience Requirements:
8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, preferred); OR
6 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, preferred)
