Job Description:

Raytheon is seeking a candidate to work as a Field Service Representatives (FSR) to support fielding efforts, garrison operations, maintenance management, shipping support and field training exercises for the C4ISR - which includes a core Command and Control (C2) windows OS application called Command View – Tactical (CV-T) operating on tactical and strategic communications networks and the requisite hardware required to operate (tablet computers, routers, tactical radios etc.)

CV-T is a variant in the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) suite of systems, but is for Command and Control of maneuver forces.

CV-T is an automated C4I system extending from individual vehicles to tactical command posts at platoon thru Division echelons. In the JCTS environment CV-T(s) exchange information among combat units and provide highly automated support for planning, coordinating, controlling, and executing the unit missions. Those FSRs conquering the challenges, thriving in the conditions and impressing the customer may be invited to extend into follow-on contracts with increasing rewards.

Position Responsibilities:

A FSR is responsible for being the unit’s subject matter expert and first point of contact for all support to the AFATDS system. This support includes:

Will be required to have a full understanding and knowledge of the Integrated Logistics Plan (ILSP) for this program.

Installing and configuring the AFATDS of software and hardware and use of associated utilities from baseline to fully operational status.

Perform routine system maintenance and computer system administrative functions.

Manage the shipping of material and equipment when necessary.

Manage the Trouble Reporting (TRs) from the customer.

Capable of using complex operating systems and database management systems.

Regularly perform analysis of system operations and problem diagnosis.

Provides classroom instruction and/or over – the – shoulder training upon request.

Interact with and advise the customer on a daily basis regarding digital operations.

Distribute, install, test software updates and provide delta training as necessary.

Support and assist as needed with hardware upgrades and warranty administrative processing.

Perform other related and/or associated tasks such as may be required from time to time.

Create and/or distribute documentation in support of system operations, e.g., training materials, operator checklists or instructions, and recurring reports.

Required Skills:

Current U.S. Passport

Experience with military digital maps and coordinate methodology.

Extensive experience in Military Training procedures.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other Office products.

Working knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) addressing, combat net radio and LAN network topologies, and troubleshooting procedures.

Ability to troubleshoot data and power issues plus maintain cables and connectors.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment.

Able to work independently and efficiently with always short customer deadlines.

Ability to pleasantly, respectfully and skillfully influence and normalize customer expectations, overcome misunderstandings due to poor translations, soften the impact of creative assumptions and mend the unintended results of poor coordination – while building lasting trust relationships.

Desired Skills:

Prior military experience in Maneuver type units (Infantry, Armor, Field Artillery) or any IT related MOS required.

Basic understanding of computer hardware systems and peripheral devices.

Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, exhibit a high degree of patience, earn respect through excellence and demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and restraint is critical.

Ability to function in an isolated location, excel in a foreign cultural situation with little supervision and with the mental toughness to thrive in occasionally difficult conditions is imperative.

Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to clearly articulate and communicate via email, phone calls, and/or video teleconference.

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related technical area of study and two years of experience.

Will accept equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
