We are looking for a Customer Program Quality Manager to support the Electric Power Systems business. This role is the face of Quality to our customer. In this role, the successful candidate will establish and maintain quality improvement plans, relative to specific customer and/or program requirements and in accordance with Collins policies and procedures. They will engage and work with the central quality organization, manufacturing sites, and suppliers to support and maintain these plans, monitor customer quality performance, and ensure focus on customer quality improvement activities.
Responsible for coordination of customer quality interfacing; including customer reviews, audits and senior level presentations.
Responsible for tracking customer impact issues and implementing lessons learned for product development.
Responsible for meeting customer quality requirements and milestones for development programs
Facilitate Preventative & Corrective actions concurrently with the internal quality organizations (Design, Operations, and Supply Chain)
Coordinate/manage customer issues in a timely and professional manner to achieve business unit goals
Facilitate resolving critical issues/situations (including Quality Clinic activity via 8D methodology for product failures) to ensure timely turnaround time.
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Previous experience working in the aerospace industry
Proficient in computer applications, with a working knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Knowledge of / experience with process control, and capability.
Experience in a multi-responsibility organization.
Strong analytical and statistical skills..
Quality certifications and experience with FAA and conformity processes is desirable.
Experience with advanced quality and PPAP tools/processes also desirable
